Love is Blind contestant suing Netflix

A contestant on season two of the hit Netflix series Love Is Blind is suing the streaming service over alleged breaches of labour laws.

Jeremy Hartwell claims that producers encouraged or required contestants to consume excessive amounts of alcohol, and that they were sleep deprived, isolated, had limited access to food, and were underpaid.

The lawsuit reportedly states that any cast member that decides to quit the show before shooting is completed would have to pay $50,000 in damages.

Production company Kinetic Content has denied the accusations, stating that there is absolutely no merit to Hartwell's allegations.

Hartwell is seeking unpaid wages, financial compensation for missed meal breaks, damages for unfair business practices, and civil penalties for labor code violations.

The suit was filed on behalf of all contestants and staff.
