The winner of Sri Lanka's biggest beauty prize has suffered head injuries after a brawl broke out on stage.
Pushpika De Silva who was crowned "Mrs Sri Lanka" in a televised broadcast on Sunday, was attacked moments after the announcement by the 2019 winner who claimed she could not be awarded the title because she was divorced.
The title was eventually given to Mrs De Silva, after pageant organisers confirmed she is not a divorcee.
However, she stated that she is separated from her husband.
