Old Town Road hits 19-weeks atop Billboard Hot 100 chart

Lil Nas X's Old Town Road, which features Billy Ray Cyrus, has topped the Billboard Hot 100 charts for 19 weeks in a row - the longest run for a No. 1 single in the chart's history.

It also won the Choice R&B/Hip-Hop Song at Sunday's Teen Choice awards.

Old Town Road, also broke the record on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs charts.

'Old Town Road' signs missing

Meanwhile, travellers are having a difficulty finding Old Town Road in Wellesley, Massachusetts.

Town officials say people have been stealing street signs from the residential road that shares a name with Lil Nas X's smash country/rap hit.

The signs have been stolen at least three times in recent months.

The Department of Public Works said it is waiting for the song's popularity to fade before replacing the signs.

Replacement signs cost about $280, plus the labour to put them back up, officials said.

The song's popularity has created an unlikely tourist attraction in the District of Sicamous, British Columbia, where fans are stopping to pose for photos on Old Town Road.

After some of the road signs went missing, the local chamber of commerce made copies of the sign and started selling them for $25.
