R. Kelly's younger brother has revealed that the embattled musician offered him $50,000 to take the blame for a 2002 "child sex tape" scandal which the R&B star went to court over.
The revelation was made by Carey Kelly as part of a new Lifetime series, Surviving R Kelly Part II: The Reckoning.
In the documentary, which aired Thursday night, Carey said his infamous brother offered him a car, a record deal and $50,000 to take the fall by saying it was he who was having sex with an underage girl in the 27-minute tape.
Kelly reportedly tried to convince his record label that he had a twin brother who was the one in the video.
The singer was acquitted in 2008 because jurors could not determine the age and identity of the girl in the footage.
