Comedian and actress Tiffany Haddish has partnered with sports content studio Game1, to bring the life story of Olympic icon Florence Griffith Joyner to the big screen.
Haddish, who is set to produce the biopic, will also play the role of the world record holder, known to fans as Flo-Jo.
The film is only the first project from the partnership as Game1 and Haddish also plan to produce an array of companion content, including a documentary series and a podcast.
Haddish, who has publicly declared Flo-Jo her 'she-ro' has already begun training for the role, with the help of Joyner's husband and former coach, Al Joyner.
Flo-Jo took the sports world by storm at the 1988 Summer Olympics, thanks to record-setting sprints in the 100m and 200m races.
She died in 1998 at age 38 of an epileptic seizure.
