Canadian rapper Tory Lanez was handcuffed and placed in custody during a court hearing on Tuesday, after a judge ruled that the rapper violated court orders in the criminal case over his alleged 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion.
Judge David Herriford ruled that certain social media posts from Lanez had breached court orders that required him to avoid any contact with Megan as the case proceeds.
As a result of the violation, his bail was increased from $250,000 to $350,000.
He was also ordered in custody until bail is secured.
A trial date has been set for September 24.
