After more than 20 years on stage and on screens, entertainment mogul Tyler Perry is saying goodbye to his iconic character Mabel Earlene Simmons alias Madea.
Madea's character is based on Perry's mother and aunt.
A fairwell tour will be aired on BET Plus next week and will include the final project titled Madea's Farewell Play.
Eight installments in the Madea film franchise grossed more than $500 million including the hit Diary of a Mad Black Woman.
