BCIC’s B++ rating reaffirmed by AM Best, citing strong balance sheet and market position

Global credit rating agency AM Best has affirmed the Financial Strength Rating of B++ (good) and the Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating of "bbb" (good) of British Caribbean Insurance Company Limited Jamaica.

The outlook of these credit ratings is stable.

AM Best says the ratings reflect BCIC's balance sheet strength, which it assesses as very strong, as well as the insurance company's strong operating performance, limited business profile, and appropriate enterprise risk management.

BCIC Managing Director Peter Levy says this reaffirmation of the B++ rating validates the company's prudent financial management and strong market position.
