CMU accepted into International Association of Maritime Universities

The Caribbean Maritime University (CMU) has now been officially accepted into the prestigious International Association of Maritime Universities.

This opens up new opportunities for global partnerships and collaboration across the maritime education landscape.

The first partnership under this new membership was initiated during the annual general meeting of the association with Amet University, India's leading maritime institution.

CMU President Professor Andrew Spencer stressed that it was a proud moment for Jamaica and the university.

He said the CMU's membership in the association will strengthen the quality of its programmes and open doors to new research partnerships, staff and student exchanges and curriculum development initiatives.
