Companies Office of Jamaica expanding online services

The Companies Office of Jamaica says it will be offering more online services by the end of this financial year.

Currently, customers can only complete new company and business registrations online.

The COJ says by March 2025, it will be able to accommodate more online options such as renewal services.

The Companies Office says new-company customers will see greater benefits such as filing annual returns virtually.

Meanwhile, Manager in charge of Anti-Money Laundering at the COJ, Inger Hainsley-Bennett, says the entity's expansion plans will allow for changes to be made for registered office addresses and even the allotment of new shares.

The COJ has also introduced artificial intelligence in its customer relations processes, in a bid to reduce wait times.
