Constant Spring Tax Office partially reopens to public

The Constant Spring Tax Office will partially reopen to the public today, offering limited, non-cash services.

Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) says interim arrangements have been made following an assessment of  the damage caused by last week's fire.

Although damage caused by the fire and water was contained to the basement, the banking hall and upper floor were affected by smoke and soot.

TAJ says extensive work is required, including specialized cleaning, air quality improvement, painting and the removal of  hazardous material left in the aftermath of the fire.
