The Digicel Group is gifting St. Vincent & the Grenadines US$500,000 worth of much-needed items to support the country's urgent relief efforts arising from the eruption of La Soufrière volcano.
With thousands of people evacuated from the red zone and housed in shelters and significant ash fall affecting the island, the situation is developing and deteriorating.
Digicel says it will work with the Government to identify immediate needs as well as procuring and shipping items identified as urgently needed in these early stages by the National Emergency Management Organisation.
