Jamaica's finance and insurance services industry grew by an estimated 1.5 per cent for the October to December quarter in 2023.
Director General of the PIOJ Dr. Wayne Henry says this was supported by more money being made by financial institutions.
"This performance was influenced by increased revenue at commercial banks from net interest income and fees and commission. This was supported by higher levels of consumer confidence, more persons being employed and increased economic activity," he reported.
