Chairman of Itel, Yoni Esptein, is urging members of the private sector to demonstrate their resilience and their ability to overcome the challenges created by Hurricane Melissa and any other catastrophic event.
He argued that the way members of the private sector react to these events and how quickly the country recovers will impact the country's international reputation.
Mr Epstein says business leaders must show the world that the Jamaican spirit still shines through the use of well-executed business continuity plans.
The experienced BPO executive made it clear that this is his mission, while stressing that Itel is deeply rooted in Jamaica and everyone must work together to remind our partners that Jamaica is still one of the best places to do business.
