Jetcon Corporation has reported a sharp increase in first-quarter profit and revenue, driven by strong motor vehicle sales and growing contributions from its solar energy business.
The company posted profit of $60 million for the quarter ending March 31, up significantly from $9 million during the corresponding period last year.
Revenue more than doubled to $418 million, compared with the first quarter of 2025.
Jetcon says although vehicle sales were affected by supply constraints during the quarter, the issue has now been resolved with adequate inventory levels and continued vehicle orders expected.
The company says inventories closed the quarter at $463 million, reflecting its efforts to maintain sufficient vehicle stocks to meet strong customer demand.
Jetcon also noted that its 10-year tax holiday linked to its listing on the Jamaica Stock Exchange ended on March 16 this year.
