Jamaica Mortgage Bank (JMB) is compiling a list of approved construction companies and professionals, which it says should strengthen the agency’s Diaspora Home Building Service.
According to Courtney Wynter, General Manager of JMB, this is expected to safeguard persons living overseas, who are interested in real estate in Jamaica.
Mr. Wynter said JMB is conducting extensive due diligence in compiling the list, inclusive of certified engineers and quantity surveyors.
The list will be available for perusal by Diaspora members, including those who had previously experienced challenges with property development.
