JSE forecasts increase in companies listing on junior market

The Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) is expecting the number of  companies listed on the junior market to increase to more than 100, following the signing of  Memorandum of  Understanding with the Jamaica Manufacturers and Exporters Association (JMEA).

Under the agreement which was signed on Thursday, the JMEA will identify member companies that it believes can list on the junior market and assist them through the process.

JMEA President, John Mahfood, says of  the Association's more than 400 members there are over 50 companies that can access the junior market.

One of  the JMEA's members, Home Choice Enterprises has expressed interest in listing within a year.
