The JSE Index advanced by 2,836 points on Friday, while the Junior Market Index also climbed by 3 points.
A total of 114 stocks traded; 52 advanced, 38 declined and 24 traded firm.
Wigton Energy was the volume leader with 23 per cent of total volume.
