JSE Index advances by 1,139 points

In Monday's trading session, the JSE Index advanced by 1,139 points, to close at 166,245.
    
The Junior Market Index advanced by four points, to close at 2,376.
    
There was trading in 43 stocks, of which 16 advanced, 19 declined and eight traded firm.  
    
Supreme Ventures was the volume leader, followed by General Accident Insurance and Medical Disposables & Supplies.
