The JSE Main Index climbed by just over 1000 points on Friday, while the Junior Market Index climbed by 33 points.
There was trading in 57 stocks, of which 22 advanced, 25 declined and 10 traded firm.
TransJamaican Highway was the volume leader with 6.6 million units followed by Wigton Energy Limited and Carreras Limited.
