LASCO Manufacturing reports higher revenue and profit despite external shocks

LASCO Manufacturing has reported increased revenue and profit for the financial year ended March 31, despite global economic challenges and the impact of Hurricane Melissa.

The company recorded net profit of J$2.76 billion, a 7.6 per cent increase over the previous financial year, while revenue rose 2.2 per cent to J$12.69 billion.

LASCO said its performance came despite ongoing global supply chain disruptions, geopolitical tensions, macroeconomic uncertainty and operational challenges caused by Hurricane Melissa during the third quarter.

During the year, the company also invested J$1 billion in capital projects, including a new high-speed beverage and water filling line aimed at boosting production capacity, improving efficiency and supporting future growth.
