The National Insurance Fund is projecting a five per cent increase in net assets during 2016/2017.
The Fund, which manages National Insurance Scheme (NIS) collections, currently has more than J$80 billion in assets.
According to the Jamaica Public Bodies report, tabled last week, the NIF will during this fiscal year continue to increase investments in listed and unlisted companies as well as acquire stocks that have good income generation and strong growth prospects.
It will also reduce credit risk by diversifying investments outside Jamaica.
