Parliament to hear pay packages for gov’t contractors

The long-awaited report on the pay packages of Government consultants could finally be made public on Tuesday.

Following a near two month delay, Leader of Government Business in the House of Representatives Andrew Holness, last week stated that efforts were being made to fast track the compilation of the data for presentation at Tuesday's sitting of Parliament.

Opposition Members have been complaining about the Government's slow pace in responding to questions posed in October on the salaries of consultants.

During last week's sitting of the House, Member of Parliament Ronnie Thwaites said he would be willing to accept the information collected so far and await a detailed report.

However, Mr. Holness said the Government was inclined to submit a complete report.
