Scotia Group says loans increased by J$35b for six months to April

Scotia Group Jamaica says total loans increased by J$35 billion or 14 per cent for the six months ended April 2024.
 
In its latest report to the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE), the company says this indicated strong demand for its products and services.
 
The group's commercial loans business grew by 8 per cent in the period compared to last year.
 
The bank says its retail business also performed well, with a 13 per cent increase in Scotia Plan Loans and a 24 per cent increase in its mortgage book.
