Deputy Managing Director of listed company Stationery Office and Supplies, Allan McDaniel, says the entity plans to take a big chunk of the local textbook market following its recent acquisition of the SEEK brand.
“We’re working as a partner with these other companies to ensure that every single person in Jamaica has the ability to buy that book. We would like to get out all the “import” books - our goal for the next year is that SEEk will be the number one book in this country,” said McDaniel who was speaking at the company’s Annual General meeting held yesterday.
He said the company expects SEEK sales to boost its revenue considerably and is therefore forecasting consistent growth.
“We were looking to the first 12 months to generate somewhere in the region of $100,000,000 -120,000,000 dollars in sales …”he said.
