The JSE index advanced by 656 points, while the Junior market advanced by 27 points.
Among the 45 winners were: Jamaica Stock Exchange, 138 Student Living Jamaica - Variable Preference, Indies Pharma Jamaica - Ordinary Shares, Caribbean Producers Jamaica and MFS Capital Partners.
The 39 losers included: Paramount Trading (Jamaica), Stanley Motta - Ordinary Shares, Caribbean Assurance Brokers, PBS 9.75 per cent Cumulative Redeemable, and Access Financial Services.
Fifteen stocks traded firm.
