64 yr old Oscar-winning actress Kathy Bates has reportedly had a double mastectomy./
She was reportedly diagnosed with breast cancer two months ago.
Bates, who won the best actress Oscar in 1991 for her role in Misery, told People magazine she had undergone the mastectomy and "would not have to undergo radiation and chemotherapy".
