Dancehall artiste Oneil Edwards of the popular group Voicemail who was attacked by gunmen on May 10 has succumbed to his injuries.
Oneil died earlier today in hospital after battling head injuries for more than two weeks.
It is reported that about 1:30am, on May 10, Mr. Edwards drove up to his gate in Duhaney Park, St. Andrew and was pounced on by men who shot him several times.
The explosions alerted residents who called the police.
Investigators say his car was ransacked.
Police responded and a man who was suspected to be involved was shot.
He was found dead a day after the attack.
Another suspect has also been taken into custody.
