The National Gallery of Jamaica is to present an exhibition in honour of Jamaican master painter Professor Barrington Watson.
The exhibition dubbed, “Barrington: A Retrospective”, will display more than 250 of his paintings, drawings and original prints.
It will open on Sunday starting at 11 a.m. and its main part will be viewed at the National Gallery until April 4 with smaller exhibitions at the Bank of Jamaica and the Olympia International Art Centre both in Kingston.
The guest speaker at the function will be Sir Alister McIntyre, Vice Chancellor of the University of the West Indies.
The exhibition is the first of the National Gallery's calendar of events for Jamaica 50.
