100 district constables to soon join the JCF

One hundred district constables are slated to join the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) within the next four months.  
   
National Security Minister Robert Montague, says the district constables will be trained at the police college.
   
It was disclosed that after a minimum of two years as a district constable, sitting an exam, doing physical and medical tests and passing a lie detector test they will be trained for four months.
   
The district constables will then be placed on probation for two years and become members of the Force.
