A 48-hour curfew has been imposed in sections of Marson Town and Tank Lane, Oracabessa, St. Mary, in response to increasing criminal activities in the area.
The curfew took effect 6:00 p.m., Friday and will continue until 6:00 p.m., Sunday.
The police say the decision to impose the security measure is based on recent shootings and intelligence reports pertaining to criminal activities, including gang-related violence, that threaten public safety.
Residents are being urged to comply with the curfew regulations and cooperate with security personnel to ensure peace and stability in the affected communities.
