All three Jamaicans have qualified for the 100m mens final scheduled to be run Sunday afternoon Jamaica time. Bolt showed signs of his dominant performances in winning his semi final in 9.82 Yohan Blake who appeared to have an bad start stormed down the track passing Tyson Gay in a time of 9.85 to qualify. Asafa Powell who eased up towards the end of his race came third with a time of 9.94 behind Justin Gatlin 9.82 and Churandy Martina 9.91. Asafa had to wait until the other two semi final races to know whether or not he qualified for the 100m final. In the end Asafa qualfied with the 7th fastest time.
