Residents of Parrottee, St. Elizabeth

Protesters in Parrottee, southwest St. Elizabeth have criticised the police and members of the fire brigade after they attempted to clear a roadblock erected on Thursday morning.
The residents blocked Crane Road from about 6 a.m. as they protest for electricity.
The demonstration affected motorists heading into Black River.
"Why would you want to remove the blockade when JPS has no answer for the people? Do your duty and do it well, man... It's a peaceful demonstration, there's no fire here. We need JPS to come. We need answers from JPS," the residents demanded.
The road was cleared by the authorities but was again quickly blocked by residents.
