Antigua & Barbuda, St. Kitts & Nevis exceed pre-pandemic vaccination rates; PAHO Director sends letters of appreciation

The Pan American Health Organisation says Antigua & Barbuda and St. Kitt & Nevis in 2023 exceeded the vaccination coverages reported in 2019, prior to the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

PAHO said in recognition of the achievement, its director, Dr. Jarbas Barbosa, has sent letters of appreciation to Prime Minister Gaston Browne of Antigua and Barbuda and his St. Kitts-Nevis counterpart, Dr. Terrance Drew.

Dr Barbosa commended the countries for the encouraging results in routine immunisation coverage obtained in the last year, as reported in the joint WHO and the United Nations Children's Fund Estimates of National Immunisation Coverage.
