Adrian Gibson, a Free National Movement MP, was released on $150 thousand bail yesterday after spending the night at the Bahamas Department of Corrections.
Mr. Gibson, the representative for Long Island, and six others appeared in court on Monday on charges related to the award of contracts at the Water and Sewerage Corporation while he served as its executive chairman.
Prosecutors allege that Mr. Gibson pocketed more than $1.2 million in illegal payments and laundered the proceeds with others.
