"Bigga" Ford is among 38 Deputy Superintendents promoted to the rank
of Superintendent.
Superintendent Ford's promotion was published Friday in the latest Police Force Order.
Other noted officers promoted to the rank of Superintendent are crime chief for the St Andrew Central Police Division, McArthur Sutherland, Errol "Chipper" Grant of MIT, Michael Ellis of the East Kingston Police Division, Leslie Ashman of the West Kingston Division, Colin Pinnock of Area Four and crime chief for Montego Bay, Clinton Laing.
The list also include Marlon Nesbeth of the St. Catherine South Police Division, M. E Sproul Thomas of the Kingston Central Police and Everald Linton of the Operations Portfolio at Police Headquarters.
Crime chiefs for St Catherine South Police Division and St Andrew North Division Inspectors Karl Malcolm and Altemorth "Paro" Campbell have also promoted to the rank of Deputy Superintendent.
Veteran crime fighter Detective Inspector Donovan "Hux" O'Connor, Gladys Brown-Campbell and General Secretary of the Police Federation, Stephen Moodie have been promoted to the rank of Deputy Superintendent.
Head of the Police Federation Corporal Raymond Wilson has also been promoted to the rank of Sergeant.
One hundred and twenty-nine promotions were announced Friday.
All promotions became effective on December 1 last year.
