President of the Jamaica Cricket Association (JCA) Dr Donovan Bennett says the time has come to remove the shackles from legendary outcast Lawrence Rowe, as the JCA gets set honour the Jamaican. Dr Bennett says they will be honouring Rowe despite the negative stereotypes surrounding his career.
Rowe was shunned for going on a rebel tour of South Africa over 40 years ago which has led to tension between cricketing stakeholders.
Dr Bennett says the JCA has spoken with Sports Minister Olivia Grange and that they are ready to turn the chapter on Rowe's tour to South Africa.
