Britain's Foreign Office has updated its travel rules and advice for its citizens heading to Jamaica.
The new advice goes into force immediately for holidaymakers with trips booked for this summer.
The travel update notes the end of the State of Emergency in St. Catherine following a flare up of violence last month.
The Foreign Office says there are high levels of crime and violence, particularly in Kingston.
It adds that, as part of security enhancement measures the government may impose a State of Emergency with little warning.
