Businessman killed in fiery St. Thomas crash

A man died in a fiery crash in St. Thomas on Thursday night.
 
He is identified as Chamar Murray, a businessman of Danvers Pen in the parish.
 
It's reported that shortly after 8 o'clock, the businessman was a passenger in a Hiace minivan travelling along Wharf Road in a westerly direction, when upon reaching the intersection with East Street, the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle which slammed into a wall and burst into flames.
 
The driver managed to escape the vehicle but the businessman was trapped in the front passenger seat and died in the blaze.
 
A unit from the nearby Morant Bay Fire Department put out the blaze.
 
Murray's death brings to two, the number of fatal crashes in the parish in as many days.
