Citizens Action for Free and Fair Elections [CAFFE] says its observers at nomination centres islandwide reported that most nominations on Monday were completed without incident and were conducted smoothly and efficiently.
CAFFE, the Jamaican election observer group, says there was no report of intimidation or violence.
On the other hand, it's observers noted that there was considerable traffic congestion in the vicinity of the nomination centres.
CAFFE has commended the Electoral Office of Jamaica for the highly professional manner in which the Nomination Day activities were conducted and said it is looking forward to continuation of the peaceful spirit demonstrated on Monday.
