Trinidad & Tobago based pilots employed to Caribbean Airlines (CAL) have taken industrial action.
Flights scheduled for Tuesday will be affected as most of the pilots who were rostered have called in sick.
Both international and domestic flights have been affected and flights between the two islands which form the state, have already been cancelled.
In a statement, Caribbean Airlines said it was disappointed with the pilots' action and apologised to passengers for the delays.
The passengers are being advised to confirm their flight times on the company's website, prior to travel.
Michael DiLollo, CAL's Chief Executive Officer, said the pilots' action was disappointing to passengers who choose the summer time to travel. He said discussions have been taking place between the management of CAL and the Trinidad and Tobago Airline Pilot's Association regarding outstanding issues and the discussions will continue in good faith.

Meanwhile, Clive Forbes, General Manager of Caribbean Airlines' Jamaica operations, told RJR News that the impact of the industrial action was also being felt in Jamaica.
"The flights are cancelled and passengers are being moved other flights," he reported.
Two flights through Kingston had been affected, he explained - one from Port of Spain to Miami and another flight from JFK - "but we have sought to accommodate passengers on other flights."
