The case brought against TVJ and CVM by attorney and gay rights activist, Maurice Tomlinson which was scheduled to be heard in the Appeal Court on Monday has been postponed until next year.
Attorney representing TVJ, Georgia Gibson-Henlin, says the matter was taken off the list of cases to be heard as the Attorney General's Department was not ready to proceed. Gibson-Henlin says the matter was adjourned for a date to be fixed.
Tomlinson sued TVJ, CVM and the Public Broadcasting Commission of Jamaica for breaching his constitutional right to freedom of expression by refusing to air a commercial promoting tolerance towards gays.
In 2013 the Supreme Court dismissed the claim.
