Cayman Airways flight to arrive in Jamaica on Thursday

Cayman's first flight to Jamaica since the airports were closed due to the COVID-19 crisis is scheduled to arrive on Thursday.

The announcement on Monday came shortly after Jamaica announced it had reopened its borders to returning citizens and will do the same for international travellers on June 15.

The flight, operated by Cayman Airways, will return from Jamaica to Cayman with a small number of Caymanians, who will be subject to 14 days of  government quarantine after landing.

According to the Cayman Compass newspaper, Jamaica's Honorary Consulate in Cayman has compiled a passenger list for the outbound flight to Jamaica and will prioritise compassionate cases.
