Saturday's match between Denmark and Finland was called off after Denmark's Christian Eriksen collapsed on the field.
There was no obvious physical contact prior to Eriksen's collapse.
Doctors applied CPR on the field before the player was rushed to hospital.
The match has been called off.
In 2012 Fabrice Muamba, playing for Bolton Wanderers, collapsed on the pitch while playing.
It was discovered that he had suffered a cardiac arrest and was "in effect dead" for 78 minutes.
He recovered but was forced to retire from the sport immediately.
