A Government official has admitted that more infrastructure and continuous intervention are needed to kill the cycle of poverty
that is affecting communities.
Director General in the Ministry of Social Security Faith Innerarity, explains that this is perhaps the only way meaningful
change will come. Her comments come in the background of TVJ's series of stories about poverty in Jamaica.
Mrs Innerarity admits there are several programmes being carried out by various agencies that help many persons, but follow-up
is needed for infrastructure projects to change the physical conditions in these communities.
However, she believes there is still hope, but the focus should be on the younger generation.
