Count Prince Miller dies

Jamaican entertainer Count Prince Miller died in London, England on Thursday at the age of 83, after reportedly suffering from cancer. 
 
Count Prince Miller, who was born Clarence Linberg Miller in Port Maria, St. Mary, recorded several reggae songs and made appearances on screen, including in the 1962 James Bond movie Dr. No.
 
The 1971 hit song Mule-Train was co-produced and performed the artiste.
 
Culture Minister Olivia "Babsy" Grange in a statement Thursday afternoon described Count Prince Miller as a pioneer who took the music of Jamaica to the world.
 
The government recognised his contribution to the Jamaican entertainment industry when he was awarded the Order of Distinction (Officer Class) from Governor-General Sir Kenneth Hall in 2007.
