Jamaica's Customs Department is alerting the public to the illegal importation of an insecticide from China which is labelled "119."
The Department said the product is not on the list of insecticides approved by the Pesticides Control Authority.
In addition the package shows that the product expired in 2010.
The public is advised that, given the appearance of the package, the product may be easily mistaken for seasoning or a beverage mix.
The Customs Department is asking members of the public with information to contact its toll free number as well as the Pesticides Control Authority.
