Enthrose Campbell is the new CEO of the Jamaica Information Service (JIS).
Ms. Campbell, who had been acting in the position since April 2021, was selected by the Public Services Commission from a pool of several applicants.
Minister without portfolio in the Office of the Prime Minister Robert Morgan, who announced the appointment Monday morning, said it is a forward step in the evolution of the JIS.
He said it is significant that the Services Commission was able to promote from within the entity, adding that this speaks to the quality of individuals in the public service.
Ms. Campbell has been appointed on a two-year contract, effective October 1, 2022.
Prior to her appointment, the former Deputy Chief Executive Officer acted as
CEO following the departure of Mrs. Donna Marie Rowe.
