Ericsson to take over LIME’s field operations

Ericsson, the Sweden based telecommunications systems firm, is to assume responsibility for some of LIME’s field service operations. These include the repair and maintenance of the company's fixed, mobile, internet and data networks. This will begin on May 20 under a seven-year deal.

Ericsson is the world's largest maker of equipment for building mobile telecommunications networks.

A statement from LIME said employees affected by the change will have the opportunity to immediately apply for positions with Ericsson.

In addition to their separation package, LIME has also put in place a number of employee support services, including career change counselling and financial advice.
