RJR News has learnt that the Ministry of Health is to decide on the fate of a Chinese restaurant in Mandeville, Manchester which has been linked to more than 18 cases of food poisoning.
The ministry has reportedly begun an investigation into the incidents of food poisoning.
However, a source close to the Ministry says they are having difficulty in acquiring critical information from a private doctor who examined some of the patients.
The source also stated that another Mandeville restaurant is being investigated for food poisoning, following three reported cases from that establishment. It was further stated that the Health ministry is warning individuals to avoid eating sweet and sour chicken and fried rice, while visiting Mandeville.
However, some residents who spoke to our news team said they are concerned that the Ministry has failed to name the restaurants.
According to the residents, the failure to name the establishments could be placing them in danger, while sending the wrong signal about restaurants operating in the Mandeville area.
